Phase III Corridor Improvement Facade Improvement 

Another major project is the redesign, renovation, and retrofitting of 100 storefronts as part of the renovation of the Livernois Commercial corridor. The Livernois Avenue corridor is home to one of the oldest and largest concentrations of Black-owned businesses in the United States with many having been passed down to succeeding generations of small business owners.

Currently, the city is completing Phase II of the Livernois Corridor Improvement project. IBA Detroit Community Development Corporation is seeking to secure partners and funding to start early spring 2021 with targeted completion scheduled for early fall 2021.
