MISSION STATEMENT

IBA Detroit CDC is a volunteer-led, membership-based 501(c)(3) organization powered by passionate Detroit-based business owners, many of whom own and operate multiple enterprises throughout the city.

Our mission is to lead and support transformative neighborhood development that centers Detroiters in every stage of planning and implementation. We are committed to driving inclusive redevelopment that prioritizes the needs, voices, and participation of the people who live, work, and play in Detroit. By fostering local economic momentum, we call it “economic velocity”. We aim to create lasting renewal and sustainable growth across our communities.

IBA Detroit CDC focuses its work in five key areas: economic development, community development, workforce development, health & wellness, and arts & cultural programming.

Together, we are building stronger, more resilient neighborhoods where opportunity is created by and for Detroiters.
